I'm typing this on the train back to the city and the Kern is convinced that we are in the climax of a Denzel movie. She can't take her eyes off of what she has deemed, "two sketchers".
Before the train got full, we were sitting across the aisle from each other, each with two seats to ourselves. That is when Kern took it upon herself to notify me of the "sketchers" and their residing locations via text message.
Bond. Kern Bond.

That's the smiliest spy you'll ever see...
If by chance, we dont make it off of this train before dying from a bomb explosion, just know, Kern's at the pearly gates saying to me, "IIIIIIIIIIII TOLD YA GIRL!"
I had a great 4th of July weekend with A LOT of cute faces... including...

This horse. Who seems to think he's a lap dog...

who spoons with other horsies...

This non-horse.

This girl (who I ran into for the 2nd time)... Notice our groceries.
We're minimalists really.

These little blondie nuggets...

in all their swimming glory...
They are in VA for "30 DAYYYYS!"
Just ask Kurtis.
And if you want to see some of the cutest kids in all of the MBKHS alumni gene pool, go HERE...
Kevin took these GREAT pics of the peeps at the '4th' Cookout at Randy and Tasha's (previously known as the 'JumpOff' - that was PRE- babies and bedtimes).
Just look at these chitlens... Cant you just feel me growing more and more self conscious for my unborn children as the beautiful baby population grows every year at these gatherings? Seriously worth looking through Kevin's whole album because not only is he a pro, but did I mention these kids are cute?
The non-baby-having crew.
The game of 'Opposite Bands' went on for over 2hours and got REALLY intense (Don't worry - if you've never heard of it, it's because we made it up, but I promise you'd LOVE it).
It's a made up game so it can only get but so intense. Right?
(No one was harmed during the playing of 'Opposite Bands')
For the actual 4th, I made a cake that I came across on THIS blog...

It was SO fun to make and super easy considering I did NOTHING from scratch... except my little cake topper. I made that out of two straws, a piece of dental floss, and some grow-grain ribbon. Here is the play by play...
(but def read the blog to be safe... In this case, a picture is NOT worth 1,000 words and I'm no chef!)

After the all-day cookouts, it stormed something terrible and fireworks were canceled. And then we lost power for the night!

Still totally worth the trip home!
I love America!
Love,
~Kare*
