2Pumps and her old man!

Last weekend I finally ventured out in the cold to the lower, lower east side - a feat for me in good weather - to meet Shawn-tuh Babaar Roo-sell and Mr. Roo-sell for dinner! I hadn't laughed this hard since... New Orleans last May (maybe you'll hear that story sometime, but probably not because you really just had to be there and even if you were, you might not've thought it as funny as Yelz and I).

Bare with me. The lighting at Southern Houston was just plain awful, but the food was delicious!
There they are!
I hadnt seen them since...
July 12, 2008 (How time flies!)

...back to last weekend.
For real, Shaunte' and I laughed and laughed! And laughed! And laughed! Poor Harold, but what a trooper! Dinner started with 8 of us. H has cousins who live here and some who were visiting and I managed to basically and totally accidentally ignore all of them. How rude! I was just so wrapped up in catching up with 2Pumps! The others headed home after dinner and the 3 of us stayed and chatted and sang and laughed... until closing time. Oh man, did I mention we laughed yet? Because I almost peed my pants more than once! I want them to visit every weekend! Abatiwaha(HA!)>So. is. life.

(Quick story: When I was in 1st grade, and Shaunte' in 2nd, she sang a solo of Bette's 'The Wind Beneath My Wings' at a Mother's Day school assembly and I sat front row and cried like a baby. Yes, I've always been this sentimental; or emotionally unstable, you pick. Anyway, I never forgot her after that and secretly admired her always. So you can imagine my shock and JOY when I walked into high school and she had not only remembered MY name but approached me and greeted me with the friendliest smile ever which made me feel SO welcome and also SO COOL!)

I dont live in NY for the weather!

Lately the weather has been as fickle as.... well, me.
And i don't like the competition one bit!

When it's cold, it's FREEZING! And when it's not, it's raining.
I've reached my limit.

Here are some of the things I do when it's too (fill in the blank) to go out.

I convince people to sleep over in my bed.

I convince people to sleep over on my couch.

I drink tea.

I video chat with friends...
who video chat with each other. Naked.

I video chat with Charlie Sheen.
(Winners!)

and I DON'T lunch with June-Bug hence my unawareness for just what all is going on in her crazy life right now! Big trips and big changes for that lady and I'm dying to hear all about it!!!

Did my blog just get knocked up?

By Bravo?

Other things I've seen on TV recently:

There will probably be a cure for cancer before there is a cure for the fever.

My parents (and Anthony and Sakina), grainy and miniature as they may be, at the VCU game. GO RAMS GO!

I'm seriously excited to see this no matter how offensive on every level.

Seriously Bravo, you could've at least taken us to dinner first.

An overdue post -

So it's long past V-Day, but I forgot to publicly thank the Kern for our V-Day care package!

Dear the incredibly shrinking Kern-Nugget,

Thank you immensely for the goodies and treats you sent us all the way from VA!!! The candy was delish and the perfect snack for our "Bachelor" watching! Obviously the jewelry was fab - I wore my earrings on Oscar night! And since the nail polishes were so little, we left them for my cutie little neighbors who are going to love them and feel so grown up wearing them! You're the best at surprises and thinking of us always! Glad you were our Valentine!
Love,
Karrie and Diddy

A real life conversation between Yelz and I...

and Diddz.

(Preface: Yelz has been gone for two weeks to Cali and it's our first night all back together again.)

Yelz: SO?! Did you guys miss me or what? What did you do while I was gone?
Me: Oh not much... I dont know... (pause - look to Diddz) Should we tell her?
Diddz: We might as well.
Yelena: What?!
(no response - Diddz and I are staring at each other trying to read each other's minds)
Yelz: Oh my god! What?! (Getting nervous) WHAT?! TELL ME!
(dramatic pause continues - still no response)
Yelz: (Intense Gasp) UGH! Did you guys go to 'Color me Mine'?!

I'm sorry, WHAT?! It's now completely unimportant that we were going to fabricate some lie regarding Reggie (the mouse-mate) coming to his tragic death in her bedroom because she just brought up painting ceramics as if it's disney world! Who knew this girl loved bisque so much?

Quiet on the set...

and by set, I mean Lu's office.

She's a grown up. With a grown up job.

Just look at her...

And last week her job was extraordinary being as it was also the work place of Zac Efron (see her experience with him HERE), The Pfeiff (as in Michelle Pfeiffer), John Lithgow (terrifying after finishing Dexter Season 4 as I JUST have), and director Gary Marshall (Pretty Woman, HELLO!!!).
They're using Lu's work place, EMI Publishing, for a scene or two in the upcoming film, "New Year's Eve," starring every one in the world. However, it will be disguised as a record label company called ARI... so clever.

Rolling...
(That's Gary Marshall on screen in the red just 'doing his thang' and directing.)

While lunching with Lu in the EMI cafe, I saw John Lithgow, Gary Marshall, and the Pfeiff (all separately) as they came through to head out for lunch, but I wasn't quick enough with my camera to snap any pics.
I'm practically famous by association.
Right?
Right.

After leaving Ms. Laura to her American Idol/Ellen/SYTYCD/Oprah responsibilities (seriously she's such a big deal), I stopped down stairs for HOURS of shopping including Anthropologie, a designer sample sale (Walter), and Fat Witch Bakery which has the most delicioso brownies on earth!
Did I mention her office is in the Chelsea Market? It's slowly becoming one of my favorite places in the universe!
Always remembering the little people,
